WORK OPPORTUNITIES AT WINTERBERRY FARM

Because our programs are very small, the farm and program staff generally consists of Jim and Jill.

We occasionally hire program graduates (who are required by regulation to be at least 15 years old and at least three years older than any program participant) to assist with some of the larger week long childrens programs.

We have also participated in well defined work projects with both high school and college students. These have worked well when both student and farm have real needs to be met.

We have been gifted with volunteer workdays by student and youth groups, as well as by adult work parties. These have often accomplished hours of laborious physical tasks! On occasion weve been able to provide some food or programming in exchange for help.

In 2014 we expect that Jim will be largely retired from his hospital work. We hope then to be able to add a very small farm helper program to some of our week long programs. Farm helpers will be fee paying program participants, but with some special responsibilities and privileges.
